Before starting, you will be given a gown and shown where the bathroom is so you can change. While changing it is a good idea to empty your bladder so your session won’t be interrupted.
After lying down on the comfortable padded table, you will be assisted in gently inserting a lubricated, sterile, disposable speculum (with a tapered insertion piece) into the rectum. The insertion piece is separate and is removed from within the speculum and discarded and the waste tube is attached.Then you relax on your back and remain draped through the entire session to maintain privacy.
Warm, purified water is then gently introduced into the colon and then released along with waste. The water and waste go down the waste hose that is attached to the speculum, through a viewing tube and then down into the sewer system. There is no smell and no embarrassment. I will always make sure your modesty and comfort is respected.
